    Spider Slope Mower

    Low maintenance blueberry farming

Maintenance of vegetation around blueberry bushes can be a challenge, particularly when bushes are planted close together. As they mature and spread out, it is difficult to use a brush-cutter close to the bushes without damaging the lower branches. Fortunately, the Civiline Spider remote-controlled mower offers fast, precision mowing, reducing the risk of damage to the blueberry branches. In addition, the mower is easily transportable and a safe option when compared to a ride-on mower.

The remote control means the operator can stand at a convenient and safe distance away, and there’s no time wasted having to turn the mower around. It can cut in any direction, going back and forth, side to side around bushes and in between rows. Users have reported the Spider mower has cut their mowing time in half, while also being economical on fuel.

The Spider range has 3 models with mowing widths between 56cm and 123cm, suitable for different row configurations.

The Spider mulches material and contains it within a cutting chamber so there are no stones or debris flicking out. This also gives a cleaner cut overall and doesn’t leave unsightly windrows.

For sloping blocks, there is no risk of being injured in a roll-over. The Civiline Spider can cut up to 40 degrees utilising 4-wheel drive lugged tyres and up to 55 degree slopes with its optional winch system. It has previously won the CIVENEX Most Innovative Product award and a German Red Dot design award.

Most of the Spider’s components are made of alloys, and its light-weight construction means the Spider has a high power to weight ratio with unsurpassed performance. Regardless of the terrain around your blueberry farm, the Spider mower will blitz through it in a very controlled manner.
